Discover luxury and designer shops
On a weekend in Saint-Tropez
From the beginning of the 20th century, Saint-Tropez has had a special relationship with fashion. In 1919, Claire Vachon set up shop here. In the 1950s, her daughter Manine developed collections brimming with sunshine and Mediterranean flair, which enchanted the French New Wave. This simple and elegant fashion, like the Vichy dress, would find its face in the form of Brigitte Bardot. In the 1960s, new designers would settle in the port, such as Albert and Vicky Rémy, who established the “Choses” brand. From there, the love story between the town and fashion has kept going strong with the many fashion shows, photo shoots and advertisements organised by high-end labels.
If you want to adorn yourself with the glamour of Saint-Tropez, go shopping in the Place de la Garonne, Rue Gambetta or Rue Allard, or along the quays of the port or Rue de la Ponche. Here you’ll find luxury labels (such as Vuitton, Dior and Hermès) as well as trendy new designers. You’ll also be able to discover jewellery, leather goods and accessories, which will allow you to deck yourself in the fashionable spirit of Saint-Tropez down to the smallest detail. With its festive, carefree and glamorous atmosphere, you’ll quickly understand why Saint-Tropez is as famous and popular as it is!
