Explore the back country during your week-end in Saint-Tropez.

Take some time during your week-end or holiday in Saint-Tropez to visit the back country. Set off to discover Ramatuelle. This stunning hillside village enjoys a stunning natural environment and is Provence in a nutshell. Overlooking vineyards and pine forests, it offers views which extend as far as the wild Mediterranean capes. Take its narrow, winding streets to discover its rich and diverse heritage: the 16th century Sainte-Anne chapel, the church of Notre-Dame which backs onto the old walls, the old prisons built under Napoleon III, the Sarraside port...Then take a visit to the village cemetery and pay homage to Gérard Philippe, whose last wish was to be buried in Ramatuelle wearing his costume from Le Cid.

Gassin is another back country village which is not to be missed. This medieval village is perched at an altitude of 200m, standing guard over the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. It boasts an extraordinary 360° panoramic view of the Maures massif, the Gulf, and far off in the distance, the Iles d'Or. It is considered one of France's most beautiful villages and has a unique atmosphere with its narrow paved streets, houses covered in bougainvillea, serpentine porches, and the lovely place deï Barri, overhung with centuries-old hackberry trees. If you enjoy arts and crafts, we suggest a stop in Cogolin. This charming Provençal village is home to an impressive array of expertise. You can visit a rug factory, a pipe factory, workshops which create mouthpieces for saxophones and other wind instruments, a pottery workshop, and a wrought iron workshop.

From the hotel, access central Saint-Tropez, the beaches...
